This chocolate pie recipe is simply amazing, why?

For this recipe you need:

  • Dates
  • Oat flour
  • Walnuts
  • Plant-based drink
  • Coconut milk
  • Sugar-free chocolate
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Agar agar
  • Sweetener to taste

Can I substitute the dates?

Yes, you can use figs or prunes, but it will change the flavor and maybe the texture. I personally prefer dates.

Can I use another flour?

You can use whole wheat, white, rye or other flour. If you don't have any of these but have oat flakes, you can grind them and use.

Which chocolate to use?

I used dark chocolate with no added sugar, you can use another to taste, but if you want to reduce the sugar in the recipe, use one without added sugars.

  1. First step

    Place all the base ingredients in a blender and blend well.

  2. Second step

    Add the mixture to a pie mold, press against the base and sides until everything is covered. Set aside.

  3. Third step

    In a pan, place the coconut milk, chocolate and cinnamon. Turn on the heat to medium, let the chocolate melt and bring to a boil.

  4. Fourth step

    When it boils, turn off the heat and add the agar agar, mixing with a whisk.

  5. Fifth step

    Pour the filling over the base and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
