Leite creme, an incredible dessert at any time of the year, but at Christmas it tastes SO much better. Do you love this dessert? Then keep reading to see the full recipe.

You're going to love this recipe because:

  • It's easy
  • With few ingredients
  • A healthier and low-sugar option
  • This option is protein-rich if you use the ingredients I used

For this recipe you need:

  • Egg yolks
  • Skimmed milk (I used + Proteínas from Mercadona)
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Lemon peel
  • Cornstarch
  • Stevia
  • Agave syrup

Which milk to use?

I used Mercadona + Proteínas because it has more protein and makes the recipe more protein-rich, besides being skimmed milk. However, you can use a plant-based drink or another milk, but it will change the nutritional information.

Can I substitute cornstarch?

You can use rice flour double the amount of cornstarch. Tapioca also double the amount. Potato starch, the same amount.

Why use stevia and agave syrup?

I used stevia to drastically reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe and used a little agave syrup to give a more pleasant sweet taste.
