Protein mini yogurt tartlet recipe, easy and with no added sugar! They look simply delicious and even look like a dessert, right? You can of course use them as dessert, but the best part is that they're also an excellent option for your breakfast or snack.

This recipe is:

  • Protein-rich
  • No added sugar
  • A great snack or breakfast option
  • Practical, yielding 4 servings
  • Delicious
  • Complete with all macronutrients

Usually, for these yogurt recipes, I choose to use whipped fresh cheese since it's more affordable and has a high amount of protein compared to Greek yogurt. Below I provide alternatives that work perfectly, but note that the nutritional information presented here is for using 0% whipped fresh cheese from Lidl or Mercadona.

For this recipe you need:

  • Natural yogurt or whipped fresh cheese
  • Protein
  • Plant-based drink or milk
  • Oat flakes
  • Almond butter

Which yogurt to use?

I personally used whipped fresh cheese (from Mercadona or Lidl), but you can use any other yogurt, for example, natural Skyr. Another option is to use whipped fresh cheese or vanilla-flavored yogurt, in which case you can skip the protein powder, though it would reduce the protein in the macros.

Which protein to use?

Vanilla or strawberry/red fruit flavored protein works well in these tartlets. Any brand or range will do, but I personally used one from Prozis that you can see by clicking here.

Which drink to use?

Any will work, for example, oat, almond, rice, and others, as well as cow's milk, but be careful to ensure it's not a drink with added sugars.

Do I need to use almond butter?

The butter helps bind the base dough; you can choose another butter, for example, peanut, hazelnut, cashew, or sunflower seed. If you don't have any, you can use 1 dessert spoon of coconut oil.

I don't have protein powder, now what?

You can remove it from the recipe, although it obviously reduces the protein content. To sweeten the fresh cheese/yogurt, you can add vanilla yummy drops, stevia, or another sweetener of your choice.

Another option

If you don't have mini tartlet molds, don't worry; you can take muffin molds, for example, cover the base and sides with the base dough, and then add the yogurt.
