You will need:
- Egg
- Egg whites
- Vegetable drink
- Oat flakes
- Apple
- Vanilla yummy drops (optional)
- Cinnamon
Can I make it without eggs and whites?
Of course! I only do it to have a higher protein content. If you want them to be protein-packed without these ingredients, you can use a scoop of protein (vegan or not) flavored with apple or vanilla, in which case you don't need to sweeten with Yummy drops. You can also make it without protein, and only use a vegetable drink, making it a totally vegan option. Regarding quantities, in these cases instead of 100ml of vegetable drink, use 200ml.
Which vegetable drink to use? Can I use milk?
Any vegetable drink will do, I really like oat, however almond, soy and rice will have the same effect. You can also use milk or even water, however, using water is less pleasant.
Lower carb and calorie version
Did you know you can make oatmeal or pancakes with rice cakes? It's true! Just crush the cakes and they become like flour! Instead of 50 grams of oats, by using two rice cakes, which will weigh roughly around 16 grams, you will have voluminous oatmeal but with much fewer calories and carbs. Try it, it's fantastic!
Another option
Don't have an apple? You can make it without any fruit, it's VERY good, or with pear, for example.

First step
In a pot, place half an apple cut into pieces (or all, but use the other half as a topping), vegetable drink, cinnamon, and vanilla. Turn the heat to medium and bring to a boil.

Let the apple cook for 2 or 3 minutes. Meanwhile, beat the egg and the whites in a bowl.

Third step
Lower the heat to minimum and add the oat flakes, egg, and whites.

Fourth step
Increase the heat slightly and start stirring everything well while it cooks.

Fifth step
When the oatmeal has the desired consistency, remove from the heat and serve as desired.
