A dessert recipe that takes 20 minutes to prepare, no oven, and not too many ingredients? This is a great option! You probably have almost everything at home, or so I hope, except for the rice puffs, which aren’t so common to have at home, and honestly, they are not mandatory for the recipe! You can replace them with more nuts. I chose to use them to replace the biscuits, but since they aren't sweet or contain sugar, they don't give the same flavor. However, they worked perfectly for the desired texture. The idea behind this recipe is to be healthy and different, not the same as the traditional one.
I didn’t add any sugar to this recipe because for me, the chocolate itself is sweet enough. Even though it’s dark, my taste buds have gotten used to it. However, if you don’t want to add sugar but still want it sweeter, you can use vanilla drops or stevia, which will help make it sweeter without adding extra calories. It’s so adaptable, so I really want to see those salami recipes because this was a recipe many of you requested!
The chocolate I used was the 70% cocoa, 0% added sugars from Mercadona, which is one of my all-time favorite products! Besides being without added sugars, it’s delicious and quite affordable. I emphasize that, even though it doesn’t have literal sugar added, it does contain other low-calorie sweeteners to achieve the effect. And to avoid adding more sugar and make it look more "pretty," I sprinkled coconut flour on top at the end to create the effect of powdered sugar. I think it looked great like that!
For this recipe, you need:
- Coconut oil or another type of oil, although it's not required
- Plant-based milk or regular milk
- Dark chocolate
- Rice puffs (you can substitute with more nuts or other puffs, like millet or quinoa, available at Ervanário or Celeiro)
- Nuts, I used a mix of almonds and walnuts
- [OPTIONAL] Coconut flour to sprinkle
